Position: Civils Project Manager / Senior Civil Engineer

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Location: Dublin Predominantly (Some projects may be nationwide)

 

On the back of an ever-increasing workload, Circet Ireland are looking for an experienced Project Manager with knowledge of civils and cabling activities on telecom infrastructure maintenance contracts.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, your role as Project Manager is to lead the delivery of projects in the civil, power and telecommunications sectors.

 
 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • promote and ensure high standards of Health, Safety and Quality on projects
  • the project in all aspects including health & safety, programming, technical, quality, commercial
  • productivity, assign roles, tasks and responsibilities required for the successful completion of the project work in accordance with planning, specifications and requirements.
  • ownership of the commercial aspects of the contract / project including managing costs and productivity
  • the company’s image and profile at site level is professional

 

Additional Duties / Responsibilities:

 

  • compliance with Health & Safety Regulations and with company health & safety policy on all sites under control
  • quality control on site for all aspects of the works adopting a Right First Time culture
  • and schedule the works and manage the construction programme
  • Traffic Management arrangements are in accordance with the relevant traffic management plans
  • all aspects of the works on site on a daily basis
  • out all elements of works including road alignments and service installations
  • constructed works for as-built drawings
  • and recording progress on site and assisting in updating the works programme
  • of material deliveries on site and checking quality of materials
  • and supervising sub-contractors works on site and performance
  • and record additional works and work closely with the project QS to prepare costs
  • interface with the Employer on a daily basis
  • regular site meetings with construction team, design team and client
  • daily site records and testing records

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 6 years experience
  • in use of setting out equipment – GPS, robotic total station, levelling equipment is desirable
  • working with AutoCAD
  • working with programming software
  • commercial and contract awareness
  • of roadworks and utility installations
  • in quality control of engineering materials on site
  • of relevant roadworks specifications
  • communication skills
