Lead the Way in Telecom Infrastructure Delivery
We’re seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor to manage the successful execution of civil engineering works on the Openreach network.
This hands-on leadership role is critical in delivering high-quality telecoms infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on subcontractor management, health & safety compliance, and quality control.
As a key part of our delivery team, you’ll be responsible for supervising field-based operations, ensuring all works meet strict regulatory, technical, and client standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day on-site civil works including:
- Duct laying
- Trenching
- Manhole construction
- Site preparation and reinstatement
- Manage subcontractor resources effectively to meet productivity and timeline goals
- Conduct daily site audits to ensure safety, compliance, and quality of works
- Verify that all site personnel and subcontractors hold appropriate accreditations, including NRSWA
- Enforce health & safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and maintain high standards across all sites
- Liaise with internal teams, engineers, and clients to monitor progress and resolve delivery challenges
- Maintain accurate site records, documentation, and reports in accordance with client and company procedures
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and implement corrective actions where required
- Ensure compliance with Openreach specifications and industry best practices
What You’ll Need - Demonstrated experience as a Civils Supervisor on Openreach fibre build or similar telecoms networks
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and oversee civil engineering site activities
- Sound knowledge of telecoms civils techniques, trenching, ducting, and reinstatement
- Confident conducting site audits and maintaining high HSEQ standards
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and project timelines
- Flexible to travel between multiple site locations
Essential Qualifications & Certifications
- NRSWA Supervisor
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- Asbestos Awareness
- Full UK Driving Licence
