Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of Copper Network projects, we are currently seeking experienced ESIDE & DSIDE Telecom Copper Jointers to join our operational teams across Ireland.

The Role
As an ESIDE & DSIDE Telecom Copper Jointer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis, and repair of copper telecommunications networks from the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) through to the Distribution Point (DP).
Working as part of a highly skilled operational team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of the telecommunications network whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of copper cable jointing on ESIDE and DSIDE networks.
- Install, maintain, repair, and test underground and overhead copper cable infrastructure.
- Undertake network fault finding and service restoration from MDF to DP.
- Diagnose and rectify cable faults, including:
- High Resistance faults
- Earth faults
- Battery faults
- Contact faults
- Pair quality issues
- Conduct pressurisation fault finding, leak detection, and pressure maintenance activities.
- Perform cable pair identification, testing, and validation using industry-standard test equipment.
- Complete network rearrangements, diversions, recovery works, and network upgrades.
- Interpret network drawings, cable records, schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Accurately complete job reports, test results, and operational records.
- Liaise with supervisors, planners, engineers, and operational teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with client specifications, telecom standards, and Circet safety requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Telecom Copper Jointer.
- Demonstrable experience on ESIDE and DSIDE copper networks.
- Strong working knowledge of copper access network infrastructure from MDF to DP.
- Experience in copper cable jointing, testing, fault diagnosis, and network repair.
- Experience carrying out pressurisation fault finding and leak detection activities.
- Competent in the use of telecom testing and fault-finding equipment.
- Ability to interpret cable records, network drawings, and technical documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full Clean Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Telecom industry certifications or technical qualifications.
- Experience working on legacy copper and mixed telecom networks.
- Experience supporting network recovery, maintenance, and build activities.
- Additional telecom accreditations and certifications.
