Circet UK are looking for a Field Supervisor with knowledge of civils and cabling activities on telecom infrastructure build and maintenance contracts.
As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out in progress and retrospective site audits and safety checks whilst checking and reporting compliance levels for both the company and client. You will coach and mentor field operatives to improve quality and compliance to NRSWA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Carry out joint site meetings with client and other relevant stakeholders.
• Survey and mark up all existing services within work area
• Identify where DFE'S are required and update job notes
• Provide updates and reports on a regular basis to the office and Project Manager
• Carry out daily toolbox audits and safety audits with direct staff.
• Carry out Safe to Start audits before a job can commence.
• Carry out in-progress audits and coach operatives on site.
• Carry out gate checks, on gangs as they leave the yard
• Ensure gangs have all relevant equipment and SLG for task at hand
• Ensure all equipment is within date and fully calibrated and if required arrange recalibration
• Ensure all permit and noticing conditions are being met on site. (check notice is live and PU prints in date)
• Keep accurate daily records of works planned and issues encountered.
• Report daily to your line manager of outputs, problems and issues.
• Report findings in real time back to the office/Project Manager
• Ensure that accidents, incidents, near misses, quality failures and service deterioration trends are investigated competently and that effective root cause analysis, action planning, implementation and monitoring follow
Requirements:
• Experience and a strong understanding of the SROH.
• NRSWA accreditation to Supervisor.
• In depth knowledge of telecoms/civils industry
• IT skills to liaise with group works control.
• An understanding of permit to work schemes and noticing.
• Experience of demonstrating good communication skills and of prioritising works effectively.
• Comfortable and confident working to tight timescales effectively.
• Previous reinstatement experience would be an advantage.
• Ability to understand client’s quality requirements.
• Experience of managing civils / utility gangs preferable telecoms
• Full clean driving licence
