Circet Ire & UK are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Group Insurance Manager to join us for a 9- month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is based in Dublin 22.

You will oversee and manage our self-insured group insurance programs for a dynamic, growing organisation with close to 5,000 employees across Ireland and the UK. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of claims, risk management, and compliance, as well as the ability to lead and communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

 
  • Continuously improve strategies for managing our self-insured program, including claims management, risk assessment, and mitigation. Work closely with third-party administrators (TPAs), brokers, and consultants to optimise claims performance and minimize risk.
  • Monitor and evaluate the claims process to ensure timely and accurate processing and identify opportunities to reduce claim costs through effective management and intervention.
  • Communication and management of vendors and brokers regularly.
  • Onboarding and insurance compliance management of high volumes of sub-contractors.
  • Stay up to date with regulations impacting group insurance programs and ensure the company’s self-insured programs remain compliant with applicable laws.
  • Utilise data analytics to assess program performance, identify trends, and provide regular reports on key metrics such as claims costs, and program efficiency. Present findings to senior leadership quarterly.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings, improve program efficiency, and align benefit offerings with organisational objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 3, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, HSEQT, Finance, BID, Legal and other departments to ensure alignment and effectiveness in the execution of insurance strategies.


Experience Required:
 
  • 5+ years of experience in group insurance management, preferably in a self-insured environment.
  • Minimum CIP accreditation
  • Previous experience managing a team and working cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale programs, including motor and liability insurance programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and benefits management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
