Circet are hiring a HSE Advisor to support our Wireless division nationwide.
The role supports the HSEQ Manager and develops positive and effective relationships with employees, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, regulations and requirements are met at all times. They will collaboratively work with and positively influence employees and contractors to drive a positive HSEQ culture and continual improvement across the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out Site HSE Audits and Premises HSEQ Audits using Evotix to ensure that offices, warehouse facilities and worksites meet legislative and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a suitable and sufficient Audit Programme that fairly samples all Business Units
- Carry spare HSEQ equipment (EG PPE, First Aid Kits etc.) and issue to employees / contractors where needs are identified during audits and inspections
- As needs ae identified, conduct and record 6 monthly thorough equipment inspections on:
- Lifting Equipment
- Portable Ladders
- Portable Appliances (PAT) Testing
- Fire Extinguishers
- Carry out Construction Phase Plan (CPP) and Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) reviews to ensure Circet HSEQ standards are maintained
- Be part of the Choices Committee and consult with employees / contractors to bring HSEQ matters to the HSEQ Team and Top Management
- Deliver Choices Site Briefings (Toolbox Talks) to employees / contractors ensuring that they have understood and learned from the content
- Provide HSEQ guidance, support and mentoring to employees / contractors at all levels of the organisation
- Engage with the workforce at all levels to promote a positive HSEQ Culture and drive HSEQ Initiatives and continual improvement
- Support with relevant HSEQ Training, Workshops and Inductions across the organisation
- Attend internal or external HSEQ Meetings / Events as required
- Other duties as reasonably assigned
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
H&S Auditor / Supervisor / Advisor role (or similar)
