Position: Site Engineer

Reporting to: Project Manager & Contracts Manager

Location: Dublin Area 

 

Main Purpose:

  • Promote and ensure high standards of Health, Safety and Quality on projects
  • Out and surveying on site
  • For supervising and managing sub-contractors
  • The company’s image and profile at site level is professional

Key Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with Health & Safety Regulations and with company health & safety policy on all sites under control
  • Out all elements of works including structures, road alignments and service installations using Trimble GPS
  • As-builts using Civil 3d
  • Quality control on site for all aspects of the works
  • Traffic Management arrangements are in accordance with the relevant traffic management plans
  • All aspects of the works on site on a daily basis
  • Constructed works for as-built drawings
  • Recording progress on site and assisting in updating the works programme
  • Of material deliveries on site and checking quality of materials
  • Sub-contractors works on site
  • Regular site meetings with construction team, design team and client
  • Daily site records and testing records

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified in Civil Engineering
  • 4 years experience in roadworks and/or utilities projects and be able to work under own initiative and take on site management roles and responsibilities.  
  • In use of setting out equipment – Trimble GPS, robotic total station, levelling equipment
  • Working with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Roadworks and utility installations experience
  • In quality control of engineering materials on site
  • Maintain high levels of health, safety & quality on site
  • To manage sub-contractors
  • Relevant roadworks specifications
  • Communication skills
  • Enthusiastic with good technical background, setting out experience and interested in working towards progression into senior engineer or project manager role.
