Circet Ireland are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor (Civils).

Circet is Ireland’s leading provider of telecommunications and power infrastructure services. We deliver large-scale engineering projects for local authorities and major utilities, including ESB Networks, with a focus on safety, quality, and innovation.
As our Power Division continues to grow and on the back of an increasing workload, we are seeking a Civils Site Supervisor with knowledge of roadworks, civils and utilities activities.  Experience on large scale underground power and telecoms projects would be desirable.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Supervise daily site operations for underground power ducting and associated civil works
  • Coordinate duct installation, joint bays, draw pits, concrete encasement, backfilling, and reinstatement
  • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, method statements, and specifications
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Utility Providers (e.g. ESB Networks), Local Authorities, and subcontractors
  • Monitor progress against programme and report delays or issues proactively
  • Supervise direct labour and subcontractors on site
  • Allocate tasks and ensure productivity targets are met
  • Monitor workmanship and address performance or quality issues
  • Coordinate plant, materials, and deliveries
  • Carry out joint site meetings with client and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out toolbox audits and safety audits with both direct staff and sub-contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all roadworks permits and licence conditions are being met on site.
  • Keep accurate daily records of works planned and issues encountered.
  • Report daily to your line manager of outputs, problems, issues.
  • Carry out other duties as requested by the line manager.
  • Record daily progress and records on a mobile handheld device

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
  • Comfortable and confident working to tight timescales effectively.
  • Experience of dealing with external stakeholders and communicating effectively.
  • Candidates should be professional; self-motivated with good communication and leadership skills and be able to integrate fully into the project delivery team.
  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role on civil or utilities projects
  • Experience in underground power ducting (LV/MV/HV) or other large utility installations desirable
  • Good knowledge of trenching, reinstatement, and live utility environments
  • Strong understanding of Irish health & safety requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • There will be a requirement to work outside of normal working hours in accordance with the road licencing conditions

Certifications required/preferred:
  • Experience and a strong understanding of the Guidelines for Openings in Public Roads (Purple Book) and relevant roadworks specifications.
  • Road Opening & Reinstatement Course
  • CSCS Signing, Lighting & Guarding at Roadworks Card.
  • CSCS Health and Safety Roadworks Card.
  • Proficiency in use of mobile devices and apps such as Sharepoint and ArcGIS an advantage
