Circet UK are looking for a Telecommunications Field Electrician to join our Wireless division.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sufficient knowledge to lock the site Down and Bring site back on air

  • To check all component parts, required for a basic installation and understanding of equipment description and purpose

 * To have a safe approach to electrical installation and have awareness off electricity in the workplace. (a good knowledge of safe isolation procedure).

  • To show a good knowledge of installations for an AC supply, to determine the difference between single phase and three phase supplies

  • Correct selection of cables to suit its environment, in accordance with BS7671

  • Installation of cable management, and cross bonding requirements.

  • Termination of armoured cables SY cables and DC circuit cables

  • Termination of cables into lugs, ferrules and din rail connection.

  • Awareness of power outages to site and the impact of the outage. Correct process of isolation for the equipment power by DC

  • Excellent installation skills with regards to neatness and meeting required standard, to understand site drawings and interpret

  • A good knowledge of electrical testing, with regards to expected result/ RCD tripping times and safe practices whilst testing.

  • Connection of LP within cell sites, in accordance with MBNL document

  • Correct location of labels against client specification and the requirements again BS7671

  • A good understanding of the earthing system provided by the DNO

  • A good knowledge of the site requirement and safety issues, along with logging on and off site, along with all PPE requirements.

  • Installation of alarm cable from PSU to krone block and test back with RANSOG.

  • Sufficient knowledge to commission the PSU and follow guidance provided by client or manufacture of equipment.

  • Final connection on to the local earth bar and the correct labelling.

  • Understanding of site forms and certification required for the client

  • Good knowledge of Electrical certs and correct ways of completions.

  • Site to be kept clean and tidy and all rubbished removed.

  • Electrical test equipment to kept clean and tidy and in good working order, with no damaged casing or leads.

  • To keep the van clean, tidy and stocked for all eventualities.

  • To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected.

Qualifications – Essential

 * Level 2 & 3 C&G/EAL Electrical Installation

 * 18th Edition

 * C&G 2391 Certificate in Testing & Inspection
