Project Manager (Transmission) - Circet UK
Circet UK are looking for a Project Manager to join our Power division, supporting the delivery of overhead power line construction and maintenance projects up to and including 132kV.
This role is ideal for an experienced Project Manager or an aspiring PM with a strong safety background (NEBOSH-qualified) who is looking to progress into full project management. For the right candidate, the position can be structured as a dual role, combining project management support with ownership of the safety and compliance elements of the contract.
You will lead and support multi-disciplinary teams including overhead line crews, tower painting teams and civil works teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
This is a field-based role involving extensive travel to sites across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the North East of England, with regular on-site presence required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE - Essential / Highly Desirable
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding and experience of overhead line construction and maintenance up to 132kV.
- Qualifications: CDM trained; IOSH/NEBOSH desirable. National Grid or DNO Authorisations (e.g., Competent Person / Senior Authorised Person)
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of HSEQ regulations and UK power industry standards.
- Leadership: Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the power sector, ideally project management
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex technical projects from inception to completion.
- Driving Licence (essential for site visits)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
Project Delivery: Drive and manage projects to meet or exceed KPI targets, ensuring full technical compliance and high-quality delivery. This is a field-based role, requiring regular presence on site to oversee works and support delivery teams.
Technical Leadership: Provide clear direction and technical guidance to project teams, including subcontractors and specialist crews.
Compliance: Ensure full adherence to CDM regulations, Streetworks legislation, all statutory requirements
Resource Planning: Determine, plan and allocate resources for all phases of the project, including technical specialists and subcontractors.
Performance Management: Monitor productivity, assign roles and responsibilities, and ensure tasks are completed in line with specifications and technical requirements.
Commercial Oversight: Take ownership of the financial performance of projects, preventing cost overruns and identifying opportunities for efficiency and value.
Risk Management: Identify technical, commercial and delivery risks and implement effective mitigation strategies, with a strong focus on risk assessment and control.
Safety & Quality: Enforce company safety policies and procedures, ensuring all works meet HSEQ standards and NEBOSH Health & Safety principles at all times.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing clear technical and safety updates and practical solutions.
Innovation: Recommend and support improvements in processes, technology and working methods to enhance project delivery while continuously improving health and safety performance.
